Meet Kurt
Kurt brings a unique perspective to our team, drawing from his rich background in sports medicine. Because of his 15 years of experience working directly with patients, Kurt excels at building personal connections and delivering exceptional service. His analytical mindset and creative problem-solving skills allow him to navigate complex client situations with ease, providing fresh insights and innovative solutions. His outside perspective is a valuable asset, helping our team see things from new angles and streamline internal processes. Kurt also contributes to the afternoon crew, getting things done in a pleasant and efficient manner, always keeping the client’s best interests at heart.
Kurt’s decision to transition from healthcare to financial services was driven by a desire for a change and new challenges. He sought a new environment, but it needed to be a place where he could trust the organization to prioritize clients’ needs. Bain Wealth Management met those criteria. Now, Kurt is passionate about walking alongside clients, helping them navigate financial decisions with care and understanding.
Kurt grew up in Iowa and pursued his passion for athletic training and Spanish at the University of New Mexico. He later earned a master’s degree in exercise science from the University of Iowa. His career as an athletic trainer took him to Ohio, where he worked with various teams and built strong relationships within the sports community. It was also in Ohio where Kurt met his wife, and after a period of long-distance dating, they got married and eventually moved to Oregon during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Oregon, Kurt joined Samaritan Athletic Medicine, covering high school sports and working alongside a sports medicine doctor where he worked closely with student-athletes and the broader community.
Kurt is married to his amazing wife, Leah, and has two young daughters. He enjoys being involved in the music ministry at his church and has a passion for playing the guitar, piano, and singing. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and going on family walks in the park, cherishing time spent outdoors with his loved ones.
